In 2017, Austin Unruh, founder of A1 Building Concepts, saw the construction industry differently. While finishing his Construction Management program, he knew he wanted more than just a job—he wanted to transform the industry. Determined to set a new standard for quality and integrity, he launched A1 Building Concepts with a mission to deliver skilled craftsmanship and trustworthy service to residential construction in Colorado.
From day one, A1 was built on a commitment to reliability and excellence. By 2021, the business had grown from fast-turnaround projects to designing custom spaces that reflect each client’s vision and lifestyle. This shift led A1 to partner with talented designers, creating a network that could tackle any client’s unique needs.
With the demand for A1's work surging, the team expanded in 2023, adding experts and capabilities to take on even more ambitious projects. Now, A1 Building Concepts thrives on bringing clients' dreams to life through large-scale transformations and renovations that make a real impact.
Most recently, A1 unveiled its largest project yet—a showcase home in Sedalia, CO, marking the company’s debut in the full custom home building arena. A1 continues to serve clients with high-quality renovations and general contracting services and looks forward to taking on new builds for 2025 and beyond, cementing its reputation as a trusted leader in the industry.
